We have a new tCast update to share for Windows and macOS.
tCast is ready for Windows and macOS
tCast is a TappedIn media companion for podcasts, releases, audio, video, and accessible listening workflows. The current hosted releases are:
- Windows: tCast 0.1.13
- macOS: tCast 0.1.13, signed and notarized
The app downloads and streamed overview media are hosted under the TappedIn files area:
- tCast downloads and release files
- Windows installer
- Windows portable ZIP
- macOS DMG
- macOS PKG
- macOS video overview
- macOS audio overview
Good ways to use tCast
- Browse shows and episodes with keyboard-friendly navigation.
- Move through show and episode lists while current playback continues.
- Use Help > Check for Updates on Windows to move to the current build.
- Use the portable Windows build when testing or when you do not want a full install.
- Use the macOS DMG for a regular install, or the PKG for managed and admin installs.
- Stream the overview media from the files server so the app download stays small.
Playback while browsing
This release keeps browsing calm while audio is playing. Arrow-key navigation through show and episode lists is meant for moving around the library, not for interrupting the current show. When you are ready to change what is playing, press Enter on the episode you want, or use F2 for the focused playback action.
